Sin City in 96 Hours: A Perfect 4-Day Las Vegas Itinerary
Welcome to the dazzling city of Las Vegas, a place renowned for its glittering nightlife, vibrant entertainment, and world-class casinos. With so much to see and do, planning a 4-day itinerary can be a daunting task. But fear not, fellow adventurers, as I bring you a savvy guide to experiencing the best of Sin City, from iconic landmarks to hidden gems.
Having been fortunate enough to visit Las Vegas on four different occasions, I have thoroughly enjoyed immersing myself in everything the sinful city has to offer. Given the multitude of options, crafting an itinerary for a Las Vegas adventure can be quite an undertaking so I’m here to help! My husband and I with good friends just spent four days in Las Vegas last year, and here’s our itinerary!
Author’s note: Full disclosure we also fit in our last visit to Las Vegas a trip to Allegiant Stadium in Vegas to watch the Patriots lose in glorious fashion. I left that part out of this itinerary!
Day 1: Arrival & Exploring the Las Vegas Strip
No trip to Las Vegas would be complete without experiencing the city’s beating heart – the legendary Las Vegas Strip. Start your day by diving into the opulence of magnificent resorts like the Bellagio, where you can marvel at the famous Fountains of Bellagio. If you visit during the holiday season, the Bellagio has the most spectacularly festive display of trees, trains, and flowers.
Across the street is The Paris where you can take an elevator ride to the top of the Eiffel tower replica and take in the views of the strip. You can also watch the fountain display at the Bellagio from a new perspective! We chose to go just before sunset to take in the spectacular views.
From there, stroll down to the Venetian, where you can embark on a gondola and gracefully glide through the stunning canals of an Italian-inspired paradise. Delight in the picturesque tour along the captivating waterway as you navigate under charming bridges, while your own personal gondolier serenades you.
After your gondola ride you can enjoy a cup of coffee or gelato in St. Marks Square or indulge in some mouth watering Italian food. After dinner head across to Treasure Island to capture the Cirque du Soleil Show Mystere! If you still have the energy on your way back to your hotel, catch the fountains at Bellagio again, they are even more spectacular at night.
Our choice for a casual dinner: Canaletto in the Piazza of St. Mark’s Square in the Venetian.
Day 2: Outdoor Activities and Sightseeing
Las Vegas has more to offer than just neon lights and slot machines. For thrill-seekers, venture beyond the Strip and explore the natural wonders surrounding the city. Start your day with an exhilarating helicopter tour to the awe-inspiring Grand Canyon, where you can soak in the breathtaking vistas and indulge in a champagne toast.
Take an afternoon visit to the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead. Situated on the border of Arizona and Nevada, the dam was constructed during the Great Depression. Take a guided tour of the dam to learn more about its engineering marvels. Make sure you take an opportunity to stroll across the top of the dam and take in the panoramic view of the Colorado River.
Next take a peaceful boat ride down the Colorado river to explore the nature with a knowledgeable guide. You will take a tranquil motorized craft as you sail down the awe-inspiring Black Canyon National Water Trail. You will see the Hoover Dam from a different perspective as well as the stunning landscapes of the canyon. Be on the lookout for desert bighorn sheep and ospreys on your journey.
Back in Vegas after dark, visit the fascinating Neon Boneyard, where unrestored neon signs tell the stories of the city’s past. The open-air showcase proudly exhibits more than 200 retired signs from vintage casinos and businesses throughout the city, offering a distinctive glimpse into the history of old Vegas. At night the signs that have been restored come alive creating an amazing atmosphere.
For dinner indulge in one of the many celebrity chef-owned restaurants such as Cut by Wolfgang Puck at The Venetian, Mesa Grill by Bobby Flay at Caesars Palace or Giada at The Cromwell.
Our choice for dinner: Hell’s Kitchen by Gordon Ramsey, Caesars Palace
Day 3: Immersing in Vegas Culture
Uncover the historic side of Las Vegas by visiting the iconic Fremont Street in Downtown. Stroll along the pedestrian-only thoroughfare and watch as the mesmerizing Viva Vision light show illuminates the sky above. Explore the Mob Museum, which delves into the intriguing history of organized crime in Las Vegas and its ties to the city’s development.
Next head to the Linq where you can catch a ride on the High Roller Observation Wheel. Experience the awe-inspiring thrill of soaring 550 feet above the vibrant Las Vegas Strip on the largest observation wheel in the USA. Prepare yourself to be amazed as you take a breathtaking spin high above the dazzling lights and bustling cityscape. Offering uninterrupted panoramic views that span a full 360 degrees, this colossal wheel takes approximately 30 minutes to complete a single revolution, ensuring ample time for you to fully relish the spectacle.
Our choice for dinner: Guy Fieri’s Vegas Kitchen & Bar
Day 4: Your choice: relax, shop or golf
Day four of your Las Vegas itinerary we are offering you the freedom to relax, shop till you drop, or challenge yourself on the golf course.

Picture yourself floating in mineral-rich pools, enjoying pampering massages, and indulging in aromatherapy. These luxurious retreats offer a refuge from the hustle and bustle of the Strip, allowing you to unwind and recharge. Spend your day in tranquility, and emerge the next day feeling revitalized and ready to conquer the rest of Vegas.

Las Vegas is synonymous with luxury retail therapy. From flagship designer stores to high-end boutiques and outlet malls, there is something to suit every taste and budget. For Golf Enthusiasts
If you’re a golf enthusiast, Las Vegas promises an unforgettable experience on some of the most stunning courses in the country. Strip away the glitz and glamour, and you’ll find a golfer’s oasis nestled just minutes away.
