Fun fact:  They built this set once, for 12 year old boys!  As the boys grew in later movies they reused the set but the actors either just sat on the bed or curled up so they would fit!

Unforgettable Atmosphere:

The moment I entered the Harry Potter Studios, I was instantly transported into the mystical universe that J.K. Rowling beautifully brought to life. The attention to detail in every aspect is awe-inspiring. From the grand entrance to the breathtaking Great Hall, I felt like a student ready to explore Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The meticulously crafted sets, including the Gryffindor Common Room and Diagon Alley, made me feel like I had stepped onto the actual movie sets.

The Forbidden Forest: Unveiling the mysteries

Next we ventured into the Forbidden Forest and we uncovered the mysteries that lay there.  You will be able walk through the towering trees and hear the rustling of leaves. You may feel a sense of adventure and excitement or terror. In the Forbidden Forest we got to see magical creatures like Buckbeak the Hippogriff and Aragog the giant spider. You are able to get up close and personal with these creature and will learn about the special effects and animatronics used to bring them to life.

But beware, the Forbidden Forest is not without its dangers (did I mention terror?). It’s best to keep an eye out for the centaurs and other magical creatures that call the Forbidden Forest home home. With its mysterious atmosphere and hidden surprises, the Forbidden Forest is a must-visit for any Harry Potter fan.

Shopping for Wizards

No visit to the Warner Brother Studios Harry Potter Experience would be complete without a visit to the extensive gift shop! I got lost in there. Here, you can find a treasure trove of Harry Potter memorabilia, from wands and robes to chocolate frogs and Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans. The shop allows you to bring home a piece of the wizarding world and extend the magic beyond your visit.  You can also indulge in a replica of the Marauder’s Map or the Triwizard Cup to add a touch of magic to your collection.

Whether you’re a Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, or Slytherin, there’s something for everyone at the gift shop. Take your time to browse through the shelves and find the perfect memento to remind you of your visit to the Harry Potter Warner Brothers Studio. I came home with a Gryffindor scarf for my husband (he forgot to pack one and it was cold when we visited) and Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour beans for my son (who is saving them for the next time he watches the first movie so he can eat them at the same time!).

Fun fact: if you visit during the holidays, or just past it as I did, the sets are decorated for Christmas!  The theme was “Hogwarts in the Snow”.  It was lovely,  and I made it just in time.  They were closing the week after I was there to undecorate!

Fun fact:  The Phoenix is named Fawkes.  Do you know why?  J.K. Rowling responds: Good question! We celebrate November 5th in Britain every year. There was a plot to blow up the Houses of Parliament. The ringleader of the plot was called Guy Fawkes (spot any Harry Potter connection?!), and we burn him in effigy and set off fireworks to celebrate not losing our government.
